Within the scope of the scientific conference LEES'10 (Low Energy Electrodynamics in Solids) in Les Diablerets (SUI), the Ludwig-Genzel-Prize was awarded to Professor Dr. Alfred Leitenstorfer. The Ludwig-Genzel-Prize, founded by Bruker Optics is awarded biyearly to a young scientist for exceptional contributions to the field of condensed-matter spectroscopy.
This year, it was awarded to Professor Dr. Alfred Leitenstorfer (Lehrstuhl für moderne Optik und Quantenelektronik, Universität Konstanz, Fachbereich Physik) for pushing the limits of ultrafast optical THz spectroscopy and applying it to fundamental problems in condensed matter physics. Bruker Optics congratulates Professor Dr. Leitenstorfer and wishes a successful scientific career in the years ahead.
